English to German and Italian to German.

Translation of technical documents

Avoid faulty products and ensure increased productivity.

Building machines and knowing in detail how they work always fascinated me. So a dream came true when I started to work as an in-house translator for a multinational company of the steel industry. Being able to follow the process of developing a rolling mill, for example, right from the first drafts on paper up to the commissioning on site created a solid basis for further developing this field of specialization. By choosing to work with me, you make sure your clients and end consumers understand how to use your products. You ensure that your on-site installations are performed without interruptions and increase your customer satisfaction rate.

Amongst others, I can translate the following documents for you:

  • Manuals
  • Functional specifications
  • Technical drawings
  • Electrical equipment and spare parts

Translation of legal documents

Never worry again that legal texts are mistranslated.

Despite people’s common belief, legal concepts regulate every aspect of our lives, and language plays an important role in communicating those rules. I believe that language and especially legal language shape our perception of the world.

Warranty or guarantee? What’s the difference between possession and ownership? By choosing my services you will never have to worry again that legal terms are mixed up, mistranslated or omitted.

Amongst others, I can translate the following documents for you:

  • Court decisions
  • Contracts
  • Policies
  • Patents

Interpreting

Make sure your clients always understand you.

Should you shake hands with your clients or do I not? How close can stand next to my potential customers without offending them? These questions and others come up when dealing with customers and potential clients from other countries.

Make sure your clients and suppliers always understand what you want to say. Let me help you effectively communicate with everyone.

I am available for the following interpreting assignments:

How It Works

H
How it works

Translation/proofreading process

Step 1: Select the documents that need translation.
Step 2: Contact me via my contact form, by email or phone and provide first details about your project, such as the deadline, type of texts, target audience etc.
Step 3: After our first contact, send me the texts that you would like to be translated.
Step 4: I will analyse these texts and prepare a non-binding offer for you taking into account the specific details you gave me, such as the deadline, target audience etc.
Step 5: I will send you my non-binding offer and specify a deadline by which you will have to either accept or decline my offer.
Step 6: Upon confirmation, I will translate or proofread your documents and send them back to you until the given deadline. My translation process includes quality assurance. I proof all documents twice and run a quality assurance check for technical translations, such as Xbench.
Step 7: You confirm that you have received the translated documents and that the documents meet your standards and specific requests.
Step 8: I will send you my invoice by the end of the month. Every invoice is due within 30 days from the date of invoice.

Data security

  • Upon request, I can set up a password-protected FTP server for sending and receiving your documents.
  • I back up all my translations and keep password-protected copies until my clients have received them. All documents are kept confidential. As a member of DVÜD, I abide by the Code of Ethics of my organization.

Proofreading by another translator

  • Upon request, I can include proofreading as an additional service in my non-binding offer. A second qualified translator, i.e. a trusted colleague of mine, will then proofread the translation.

Quality in translation

Q
Quality in translation

I adhere to the “Quality in Translation” campaign. The following requirements apply for every project I accept:

1 I strive for the best possible translation every time.

2 I only accept assignments that allow me to strive for this goal.

3 I only work into German, my native language.

4 I only accept assignments in my fields of specialization.

5 I constantly strive to improve through constructive feedback and ongoing training.
